MENTONE – Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation (TVSC) announced the upcoming Kindergarten Roundup for the 2025-2026 school year.
Families of incoming kindergarten students are invited to attend this event as TVSC prepares to welcome the class of 2038.
If your child will be 5 years old by Oct. 1, 2025, this is an opportunity to begin their educational journey at Tippecanoe Valley Schools.
The kindergarten roundup will be at 6 p.m. March 25, 2025, at:
• Akron Elementary, 202 E. Rural St., Akron
• Mentone Elementary, 307 E. Jackson St., Mentone.
At kindergarten roundup, families will have the opportunity to meet teachers and staff, explore classrooms, learn about enrollment requirements and gain insight into the Viking family experience.
To streamline the registration process, parents should be prepared to bring the following: birth certificate, vaccination records and a valid email address.
Early registration for kindergarten is essential for effective planning for the upcoming academic year.
For families unable to attend kindergarten roundup, contact the Akron Elementary School office at 574-598-2367 or the Mentone Elementary School office at 574-598-2590 before March 25 to discuss alternative enrollment arrangements.
The kindergarten registration program is expected to last approximately one hour. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet teachers and staff, tour the school, learn about the kindergarten program and have their questions answered.
TVSC encourages community members to share this information with families who have an incoming kindergartener. For further details, visit the official TVSC channels or contact Akron or Mentone Elementary directly.
