AKRON – Mark Robert Moore, 58, Akron, died at 10:12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care Center of Fort Wayne.
Mark was born Feb. 15, 1967, in Rochester, to Norman W. and Cornelia Sterk Moore.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a mechanic and driving large trucks during the Persian Gulf War.
On July 16, 2005, he married Newanna Scott in the back field of his home, and she survives.
The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Thad Stewart officiating. His interment will take place in the Akron Cemetery, with military honor performed by the U.S. Army and the Fulton County Honor Guard.
Visitation hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
