America Deserves Better

Editor, Times-Union:
I pulled out a photo I took of an image of Abraham Lincoln while on Honor Flight in 2017 In Washington, D.C. My mind turned to President’s Day coming up on February 17th. When I thought of President Lincoln I thought of our setting president, and said to myself, Americans deserve better.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could have a president like President Lincoln who was not a convicted felon? Wouldn’t it be great if we had a president who would always keep his sworn vow to, “Preserve Protect and Defend The Constitution of the United States of America”?
Maybe someday if we pray hard enough and long enough, someone like Abraham Lincoln will come along.
