Surf Internet celebrated a milestone Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
Jordan Holzwart, Surf Internet regional market manager for eastern Indiana, said, “We actually have our first service area turned on here in Warsaw, which is about 345 homes and businesses. It puts us about 10 to 15% done, but we’ve got still some things to come throughout the year.”
The area is just a little west of downtown Warsaw.
Once they’re completed, they’ll have about 2,700 customers and an additional 800 to 900 in Winona Lake.
Surf Internet is in over 100 markets and continues to grow weekly, he said. They offer fiber internet to homes and businesses.
“This makes fiber internet available to the residents of Warsaw,” Holzwart stated.
To find out if your home or business is in the Surf service area, visit their website at surfinternet.com and put in your address.
“If it’s not quite available, it’ll sign them up for updates when it does become available,” he said.
The local REMC does a great job of connecting some of the rural customers to the internet, he said. Surf Internet is currently already in Pierceton and North Webster. Holzwart said Surf is trying to cover those two towns and Warsaw.
He said Surf Internet offers “very simple pricing, no contract.” The price never increases, and installation is free. “Just really easy and simple to do business with.”
