Joseph Eugene Bencze Sr., 68, of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at his residence.
Joe was born on Aug. 1, 1956, in Portage, to Joseph and Carol Jane Brown Bencze.
He was the owner and operator for USA Muffler in Warsaw for over 30 years. Joe enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music. He also enjoyed drag racing and cars, and adored his cats.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by sons: Shawn (Jennifer) Bencze, of Milford; Joseph Jr. (Heather) Bencze, of Claypool; Alex (Amanda) Leonhardt, of Jackson, Wis.; daughter, Shenelle (Aliza) Bencze, of Huntington; brother, Jeff (Joni) Bencze, of Wheatfield, Ky.; sisters, Julia Gilbert, of Portage; Jeri Fink, of South Haven; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and half siblings.
He was preceded in passing by both parents and his son, Dekota “Cody” Bencze.
A celebration of life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the funeral chapel.
The family kindly request the memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses, McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, IN 46580.
