Warsaw Bands Earn Top Ratings At ISSMA Contest

On Friday evening, the Warsaw Community High School (WCHS) Concert Band and Wind Ensemble competed at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Organizational Contest held at Northridge High School.
Both ensembles earned Gold ratings, with each group also achieving a Gold rating in sight reading, representing the second-highest honor awarded at the event. The Concert Band is under the direction of David Knouse, and the Wind Ensemble is directed by Mark Ziegler, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
Students delivered outstanding performances, showcasing not only their musical skills but also the pride and excellence of Warsaw Community Schools. Their preparation, focus and artistry were evident throughout the evening, according to a news release.
