April 28, 2025 at 12:52 p.m.

OrthoWorx announced today that Bob Vitoux, president and chief executive officer, has communicated to the OrthoWorx Board his plan to exit the organization effective May 2 to rejoin Ambassador Enterprises, a Fort Wayne-based, legacy-minded enterprise investing for three returns, as their chief financial officer.
OrthoWorx Board Chairman Terry Schlotterback said, “Since joining OrthoWorx in July 2022, Bob has been a pivotal leader during a critical time for the organization. He brought with him a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Zimmer, Biomet, DePuy, Steinway and Ambassador Enterprises. Under his leadership, OrthoWorx has made great strides in advancing its mission to support and promote the orthopedic industry in Warsaw, while also expanding its impact across Northeast Indiana and throughout the state. Bob played a key role in securing the $30 million Orthopedic Industry Retention Initiative from the state of Indiana and has been instrumental in fostering innovation and collaboration within the orthopedic community – including helping to bring Plug and Play to Warsaw.”
Vitoux expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead OrthoWorx, stating, “It has been an honor to serve as CEO of OrthoWorx and work alongside so many great community, education, and industry partners. I am extremely proud of all we’ve accomplished since my arrival, along with the remarkable team we have built, and I am confident they will continue to thrive and have a positive impact on the orthopedic industry and the communities we serve.”
The OrthoWorx Board of Directors has begun the search for a new CEO, aiming to ensure a smooth leadership transition and the continued success of the organization.
“We are confident that the next leader of OrthoWorx will bring the same energy, industry knowledge and vision that Bob delivered here,” said Schlotterback.
Interested candidates should contact OrthoWorx via email at [email protected].
In the interim, Schlotterback will oversee the organization.
Schlotterback concluded, “The OrthoWorx team is well positioned to continue to move the organization’s initiatives forward. We are excited for the future.”
OrthoWorx remains committed to its mission of advancing the orthopedic capital of the world for generations to come and supporting the growth and innovation of the orthopedic industry across Northeast Indiana, according to a provided news release from OrthoWorx.
OrthoWorx is an initiative formed in 2009 in the Orthopedic Capital of the World through initial funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. to fill a critical void in the industry, serving as a connector for industry, education and the community, leveraging resources to drive positive change. OrthoWorx was specifically designed to make the region the best place for orthopedic industry talent to grow and thrive.
