Habitat For Humanity To Celebrate ReStore’s Sixth Anniversary

Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County is celebrating six years of operating its ReStore in Warsaw.
Formerly known as the ReSale Outlet, this storefront accepts and sells donations of items to raise funds for Habitat. The celebration is on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ReStore, 3970 Corridor Drive, Warsaw. There will be food trucks, Igloo Ice Cream, free cupcakes and special sales. The ReStore will be open to customers and donors during the celebration event.
“This store has grown with the support of the community, and it has become a real blessing to Habitat here locally,” said Ben Logan, director of Habitat. “Because of that growth, we are now rebranding as an official Habitat ReStore. Our customers and donors won’t see a change in our items or services, but it does go to show that this store is still growing and getting better each year.”
The ReStore is open every week, Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. It accepts donations of furniture, cabinetry, appliances, flooring, plumbing, lighting, building materials, home décor and more. Habitat also offers free pickup of large donations with their box truck to addresses in Kosciusko County. Each item is cleaned and tested by staff and volunteers, then sold to raise money for Habitat.
“In 2024, our store sold over 33,000 items,” said Anne Young, store manager for the ReStore. “Those are 33,000 items that avoided the landfill and found a second life. Because of this store, thousands of items each year are reused and repurposed, all while supporting Habitat’s mission.”
