Howard T. Kerr Jr., 81, rural Akron, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Howard was born Aug. 3, 1943, in Chicago, to Howard T. and Eleanore A. Miert Kerr. He married Jolinda Draper on Aug. 1, 1964, at Richland Center United Methodist Church; she survives.
The funeral service will take place at noon Monday, April 28 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Wanda Carter and Michael Walters officiating. The interment will take place following the service in the Athens Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday, April 28 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Hope Community Church.
