Soup & Pie Success

April 23, 2025 at 5:19 p.m.

Editor, Times-Union:
Thank you, Warsaw! What a wonderful community we live in! What a great feeling it is to see people lined up outside the Pavilion at 10:30, waiting on us to open the doors at 11. It makes all our hard work worthwhile, when we see all the smiling faces coming in. You would think we were giving away free steak dinners, instead of selling a bowl of soup, a sandwich and a piece of pie.
Nothing is better than enjoying delicious food with friends, knowing you are also helping to provide food and necessities for those less fortunate.
This event would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary ladies and volunteers. They go above and beyond to make this luncheon a success.
Thank you, Warsaw Community High School students. You were such a great help and are appreciated so much.
Thank you to the Times-Union, the Paper, WRSW and Willies, News Now Warsaw and Ink Free News for advertising our event.
Last, but not least, thank you to the Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department, Larry Plummer, Jeremy Humes and other park employees for all of your help.
Mark your calendars now for the third Wednesday in April next year! We hope to see you there!
