Robert ‘Bob’ Likens

April 21, 2025 at 5:16 p.m.

Robert “Bob” Likens, 89, born Sept. 12, 1935, in North Webster, passed away on April 10, 2025, at The Waters of Syracuse in Syracuse.
Bob was the son of Cyril “Bus” and Myrtle Beezley Likens. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Dixie Kuhn Likens. Together they raised four sons and built a life centered around family and hard work.
A dedicated entrepreneur, Bob owned and operated Likens & Sons Construction. His commitment to his craft was matched by his devotion to community service — he served as a driver for the North Webster EMS and was an active member of the Church of God in North Webster. He was also a member of the Gideons.
Bob had a deep passion for motorcycles and cherished taking trips with friends. He also enjoyed playing on the church softball team and found great joy in supporting his children and grandchildren at their sporting events and activities. Known as a “spectator extraordinaire,” he rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on.
He is survived by his sons: Terry (Marti) Likens, Jim (Jenny) Likens, Dennis (Anita) Likens and Brian Likens; 12 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dixie; his parents; granddaughter, Tara; brother, Ed; and sister, Fran.
A man of enduring dedication to family, faith, and community, Bob’s legacy lives on through those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who were touched by his life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Church of God in North Webster. Service will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to Gideons International of Warsaw/Winona Lake.
