Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Lake City Photo Booths Thursday.
Owner Paul Lafferty said Lake City Photo Booths goes to special events, such as weddings, corporate parties and birthday parties, and provides an open air photo booth. They provide backdrops and props and they customize photo templates for each individual outing.
All guests are able to provide their phone number and email to receive copies of the photos, said daughter Ali Lafferty, noting the copies of the pictures are saved on Lake City Photo Booths’ server so the company can provide copies to the event host as well.
Lafferty said Lake City Photo Booths started a year ago. He got the idea of starting the company after going to a friend’s wedding in Fort Wayne about two years ago that had a photo booth. He said it was the first time he saw one and subsequently asked questions about it and did research on the topic.
He noted he found a good opportunity to bring a photo booth to Kosciusko County at an affordable price. However, Lafferty did say they don’t just serve Kosciusko County, but “all over,” having several weddings booked for downtown Elkhart.
Lafferty said Lake City Photo Booths has done five events so far with seven more booked.
He hopes to bring memorable experiences to the area and bring more fun to events, noting they are open to provide their services to all events.
