Carl Allen May, 61, Warsaw, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at IU Heath University Hospital, Indianapolis.
Carl was born on March 9, 1964, to B. June Snoke Reece and William A. Geiger, in Fort Wayne. He was then lovingly adopted by William E. May in 1967. On Dec. 10, 1983, he married his high school sweetheart, Denyse M. Poe. Together they raised a son, Casey A. May, and daughter, Karis M. May, of Fort Wayne.
Known for his work ethic, he worked at R.R. Donnelly, and then for LSC Communications for over 35 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and keeping his lawn in pristine condition. Carl also spent much of his time building computers.
One of his greatest loves was spending time with his granddaughter, Joslin. The two of them were inseparable.
Carl is survived by his wife, Denyse; daughter, Karis M. May; granddaughter, Joslin; mother, B. June Snoke Reece; and stepfather, Monte J. Reece, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; sisters, Deborah Daughtery, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Kelly Earl, of Fort Wayne; stepsisters: Vicki Robinson, Karen Smith, and Michelle Adkinson; stepbrother, Todd Reece; adopted aunt, June Gross; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Casey A. May; father, William E. May; stepfather, Richard W. Black; adopted grandparents, Raymond (Margaret) May; grandmother, Betty J. Schaaf; and special grandma-in-law, Dorotha M. Sheets.
May the memories of Carl bring comfort to all that knew him.
