MARSHALL COUNTY - A Mishawaka woman died Thursday morning after being caught in a grain bin in Marshall County.
According to a news release from the Marshall County Coroner’s Office, the coroner’s office was notified of a death in the 11,000 block of Hawthorn Road, east of Plymouth in Marshall County.
A 911 call was placed shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday. Plymouth and Bremen fire departments responded to the call of an individual - later identified as Marilyn K. Miller, 58, Mishawaka - caught in a grain bin.
The investigation determined Miller was working inside a grain bin working to loosen grain that was stuck. She was pulled into the grain when the grain began to move downward towards the auger.
An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in determining the cause of death, according to the news release.
