Big Brothers Big Sisters concluded another year of Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraising, rounding up a total of over $29,000 for its mentorship programs in Kosciusko County.
Presented by Pro Resources, the annual bowling fundraiser hosted at The Bowling Alley drew in players from across the county during its two sessions on the first, who each made it their goal to raise big for Littles in the programs and those on the waitlist. Their fundraising efforts, which lasted through March, contributed to over $29,000 raised, according to a news release from Big Brothers Big Sisters.
This year’s best-dressed winners were the Boo Scootin' Bowlers and the Moving Pictures Tattoo Cinema teams who went home with BBBS merchandise prizes.
"The overwhelming support for Bowl for Kids' Sake this year truly showcases the power of our community coming together for a great cause,” said Tammy Smith, director of community development for Kosciusko County. “Every strike, spare and donation helps create brighter futures for local youth, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who participated and contributed to this success."
This outcome wouldn’t have been possible without the steadfast support and exceptional fundraising efforts of the community across Northeast Indiana. BBBS thanks everyone who fundraised and donated on our behalf to open a world of possibilities for Indiana youth through mentorship and BBBS’ many program benefits, stated the news release.
BBBS also gave a special thank you to the sponsors that made these BFKS sessions possible: First Merchants Bank, ThunderBowl #1, Ashley Industrial Molding, Color Master Inc., K Vegas Bowling, K105 FM, Kohl’s, KPC Media (IN Northwest News, The Star, The Herald Republican), Optimist International, Pepsi Co., Pizza Hut, Rugged Steel Works, Shambaugh & Son L.P., 97.3 WMEE, Local UAW, Core Mechanical Services, DePuy Synthes, Skyline Builders Inc. and Wildman Business Group.
