April 1, 2025 at 7:23 p.m.

Dr. Julia Porter, of Warsaw, and Dr. Mia Johnson, of Muncie, have collaborated to launch a new business dedicated to grief coaching sessions. They also host a podcast and have written a book about grief, and more recently launched a Substack to share resources and exclusive content.
Porter and Johnson met as PhD students in Indiana Tech’s Global Leadership program and stayed in touch following their graduation. Having both faced bouts of grief, they knew they wanted to do more and their research lead into the women launching a new company this year, according to a provided news release.
They will share more about their services at Generous Coffee on Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also purchase a book for the authors to sign. The first 20 guests will receive a gift bag.
The Sweet Exchange will be joining them selling their famous cinnamon rolls and cookies and Haley Allen Cosmetics will host a pop-up shop as well.
