Dona Stucko

Dona Stucko, 98, formerly of Sawmill Lake, passed away on March 30, 2025, at Greystone Health & Rehab in Fort Wayne.  
She was born on Oct. 26, 1926, in Wilmot, to Leonard and Verta Chaney Vanator. On Sept. 3, 1961, she married Stanley B. "Stan" Stucko, who preceded her in 2007.
She was the co-founder of the Animal Welfare League. She was a member of the Tippecanoe Township Homemakers Club. She was a dog groomer for many years. She had a special love in her heart for all animals. She rehabilitated injured and sick animals her whole life and volunteered at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for a decade.
She is survived by her four sons: Rob (Melissa) Stucko, Steve (Kathie) Stucko, Gary (Nancy) Hill and Chuck (Jaira) Hill; seven grandchildren: Lynn Ann, Nicholas, Todd, Randy, Brad, Sabrina and Samuel.
She will be laid to rest beside Stan privately at the North Webster Cemetery - Mock Addition.
