Carl D. Dawalt, USAF (ret) SMSgt, 89, of Enon, Ohio, died on Wednesday, Sep 25, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital.
He was born on March 10, 1935, in Marshal County to Merl A Dawalt and Marie Pfeiffer Dawalt.
He married Donna Dawalt.
Local survivors are sisters, Peggy (Ruben) Conleyand Mary Ann (Stephen) Stine, both of Etna Green.
Carl served 22.5 years in the Air Force servicing aircraft (primarily KC-135A) and was awarded two Good Conduct medals, Outstanding Unit Award, Vietnam Service Medal, NCO Academy Graduate Ribbon, Meritorious Service Medal, among a few others.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 3 at Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, Ohio. Memorial services will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will take place at Enon Cemetery following the Memorial service.
Memorial donations may be made to National Museum of the U.S. Air Force through the Air Force Museum Foundation.
