In Our Democratic Republic, It Is Important To Vote

So many have come up to me concerned about the condition of our nation.  My response back to them is “that we need to pray and then vote!”
In our Democratic Republic, it is incumbent upon its citizens to participate in the process of electing those who represent us in government. Many studies have shown that Christians do not vote on a regular basis. In a study by Pew Research Center it was found that about 15% less have voted since 2008.
Beginning on Sept. 27, the faith community will unite to pray for our election for 40 Days, ending on Election Day, Nov. 5.
We know that 2 Chronicles 7:14 calls believers to humble themselves by praying and repenting, and our Lord will forgive us of all our sins and heal our land. We are called to seek God for such a time as this, as He is not finished with His people. 40 Days USA is a powerful, collaborative initiative uniting individuals and communities across the nation in a non-denominational, non-partisan prayer campaign. Spanning 40 days leading up to the 2024 U.S. Presidential election, this event features 40 Christian leaders to guide daily prayer, fostering a spirit of unity, reflection and hope for our nation’s future.
