Nappanee Man Succumbs To Injuries From Sept. 8 Motorcycle Crash

ELKHART COUNTY - A Nappanee man who was injured in a motorcycle crash on Sept. 8 has died.
According to a news release Friday from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the Elkhart County Coroner’s Office notified the sheriff’s office Randall Weaver, 60, Nappanee, was taken off of life support and died as a result of injuries suffered in the Sept. 8 crash.
Weaver, driving a 2011 Victory Kingpin, was traveling southbound on Ind. 19 at Ind. 119 at a high rate of speed at about 5:56 p.m. Sept. 8. He lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the guard rail.
Weaver was taken to Elkhart General Hospital, the release states, suffering from head trauma, broken ribs on his left side, a broken left leg, a broken left arm and lacerations to the head.
Damage to the motorcycle included the gas tank, fender, windshield and gear selector.
