Questions For Candidates

Editor, Times-Union:
If I had a chance to ask the candidates several questions:
1. Why does the United States want a peace agreement with Israel but not with Russia?
2. Both parties want to save Social Security and Medicare - why hasn’t Congress fixed them?
3. Do you care about the national debt?
4. The war-time reserves, is the oil only for the military?
5. Do you have a plan for drug overdoses?
6. President Nixon got rid of the draft, but young men still have to register. Should women register also?
7. Do we have too many laws and which ones should we repeal?
8. Do we need the Department of Education?
9. Finally, should the Supreme Court have term limits, how about Congress?
I know I won’t be able to ask my questions, but I would still like to know their answers.
