Dean Bammerlin, 95, rural Roann, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at his residence.
Dean was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Akron, to Robert and Verna Shrout Bammerlin. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was married on Nov. 15, 1953 in Peru, Ind., to Janet G. Butt, who died Oct. 30, 2004.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery with military honor performed to honor his service. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roann Volunteer Fire Department.
