A Silver Lake man was arrested after allegedly inappropriately touching another person.
Raymond E. Stevens Jr., 58, of 415 W. Coy Ave., Silver Lake, is charged with sexual battery, a level 6 felony; and battery, a class B misdemeanor.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 7:18 p.m. Monday on a $5,250 preliminary bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Monday, Kosciusko County Central Dispatch advised Silver Lake Police Department of an intoxicated person that allegedly inappropriately touched a person.
The officer spoke with a person who said Stevens touched them inappropriately. The officer spoke with Stevens and learned Stevens had an active warrant out of Whitley County.
The officer spoke with the victim who said they were playing croquet in the yard of the residence when Stevens called them over to his garage to show them his motorcycles. The victim said Stevens talked to them about biker life. Stevens said they could have sex. Stevens then asked the victim if they wanted to be his partner and they would have to do anything he told them to do. Stevens put his hand on the victim’s waist and squeezed their bottom. The victim moved away from Stevens.
Stevens then stood in the doorway watching the victim and began to mouth aggressively for them to come back to him. The victim said they were scared Stevens would get angry so they walked over to Stevens who told them he needed their number. Stevens indicated he would pick the victim up on his bike but the victim could not tell people about it.
Stevens asked the victim to send naked pictures to him. Stevens then grabbed the victim’s hand and kissed it.
