Coroner Issues Further Information On Child’s Drowning

The Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday night released the preliminary cause of death as drowning for 2-year-old Hudson Baldridge.
The press release also states toxicology is pending, and can take six to eight weeks for results. The preliminary manner of death is pending, but the release states “there is no suspicion of foul play at this time.”
A forensic autopsy was performed at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
At 12:27 p.m. Sunday, Warsaw Police Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Lutheran EMS responded to Gillam Drive North on the northwest side of Center Lake for a reported double drowning. Two minor victims had been pulled from the water and resuscitative efforts were underway as the initial crews arrived.
One victim - Benson Baldridge - was airlifted by Lutheran Air Ambulance from nearby Central Park in critical condition. The other victim - Hudson Baldridge - was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
For the family of the victims of the double drowning that occurred Sunday, a GoFundMe page has been established.

As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, over $19,400 toward the initial goal of $20,000 had been raised.
