Editor, Times-Union:
I would like Ms. Fabyan to know that her letter has made me ponder my priorities. These are a few of my thoughts. (The following may require one to read or reread Ms. Fabyan’s letter published on the 27th.)
While the unborn child is faced with the possibility of death by abortion, I would like to know who is ending the lives of immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? Or prisoners without due process?
I would also like to point out that the above mentioned groups all can speak for themselves (unlike the unborn) and all have the advocacy groups many of which I have contributed to.
Furthermore, I would like to point out that Ms. Fabyan (by her own admission) refuses to face the fact that the unborn ARE living.
It is apparent to me that you have not really communicated with my prolife people for you will find that they are some of the most kind and loving people willing to sacrifice for people in all stages of life.
In conclusion, I find it heartbreaking that one would suggest we must solve all the troubles of the world before we even consider the lives of the innocent unborn.
