Fire Departments Respond To Machinery Shed Fire Sunday

CLAYPOOL – There were no injuries after a machinery shed fire Sunday morning.
Burket Fire Department firefighters were called out around 1:15 a.m. Sunday to 8088 S. Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. According to county records, the property is owned by Mark and Sandra Eberly.
Mentone Fire Department Chief Mike Yazel said Mentone assisted Burket and when fire crews arrived on scene, the fire was through the roof and the structure was fully engulfed.
The structure was a total loss.
Yazel said the cause of the fire was unknown, but is thought to be started in the mechanical room.
Mentone firefighters got back to the station about 6 a.m.
Burket was assisted, along with Mentone, by Akron, Silver Lake, Claypool and was provided a tank from Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory.
