Nov. 9 Is National Lung Screening Day At Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital

October 24, 2024 at 5:18 p.m.

Join Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital (LKH) on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for National Lung Cancer Screening Day.
All Lutheran Health Network hospitals will extend imaging hours on Nov. 9 in the fight against lung cancer - the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. Early detection improves survival rates significantly, according to a news release from Lutheran Health Network.
“National Lung Cancer Screening Day is a great opportunity to raise screening awareness and encourage eligible individuals to get screened. Many people must work during the week, which makes it difficult for them to get screened. That’s why National Lung Cancer Screening Day is on a Saturday – to make it easier for people to take more control of their health by getting screened when it’s convenient,“ said Dr. Patrick Ilada, LKH medical staff president. “Get screened so we can help reduce disparities, promote equity, and save more lives.”
To schedule an appointment, call 833-546-4968, option 2, then option 1. Callers who do not meet the self-referral criteria for lung cancer screenings must request a referral from their healthcare provider.
