George E. Shepherd, known to most as Bebo, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at the age of 58.
Born on May 24, 1966, in Hazard, Ky., Bebo lived a life that was filled with laughter, love and creativity. He worked at Starcraft for an impressive 26 years, dedicating himself to his career while always prioritizing his family.
On May 26, 1984, Bebo married the love of his life, Grace Marsillett, at the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Warsaw. Together, they spent their lives raising their four children.
Bebo was known for his thoughtful and accepting nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a spirit that was wild and free. He loved riding motorcycles, building and inventing, and had a particular passion for working on cars. His dogs were also a big part of his life, showcasing his loving and caring personality.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Grace (Marsillett) Shepherd; along with their three daughters: Rachell (Tim) Holston, Harley Shepherd and Brandi Shepherd; and his son, Travis Shepherd. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Kaydence Shepherd, Jayden Stahl, Trayvin Shepherd, Alliyah Shepherd, Logan Stahl, Layla Shepherd and Chandlyr Shepherd, who were his proudest accomplishments and brought him immense joy.
Bebo also leaves behind his sisters: Becky Shepherd, Katie Alvarez and Phyllis Gibson; as well as his brother, Elbert Shepherd; sister-in-law, Dawanda Shepherd; and best friend, Rob Trimble. He is reunited in death with his parents, Jasper and Opal Shepherd (Reynolds); along with his brother, Jasper Shepherd; and brother-in-law, Rick Gibson.
Titus Funeral Home, 8056 E. CR 500N, North Webster, is entrusted with the care of Bebo and his family. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
Memorial gifts are appreciated to the funeral home for final expenses.
