Two people were injured Friday morning in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of East U.S. 30 East and South CR 325E, Warsaw.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office report, a white 2022 Chevrolet Express pickup truck was traveling south on CR 325E, crossing U.S. 30. A gray 2013 Nissan Rogue SUV was traveling east on U.S. 30.
At about 7:31 a.m. Friday, the driver of the pickup truck, Scott Kirkham, 60, Syracuse, said he did not see the SUV and began crossing the eastbound lanes of U.S. 30 when his vehicle hit the SUV. The Nissan Rogue then continued into a steep ditch, rolling over and landing on the roof.
The driver of the SUV, Senovios Vidana, 67, of Berwyn, Ill., was able to crawl out of the vehicle, but the passenger of SUV, Guadalupe Vidana, 64, also of Berwyne, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be assisted out by fire rescue.
Senovios complained of chest pain and bleeding from the head and was taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne Hospital. Guadalupe complained of neck and shoulder pain and also was taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne Hospital.
Kirkham stated he was not injured.
