NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING THE PROPOSED CONTRACT BETWEEN
WARSAW COMMUNITY SCHOOLS AND A SUPERINTENDENT
On October 21, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the Warsaw Community Schools' Board of School Trustees will meet at 1 Administration Dr, Warsaw, Indiana, to discuss and hear from the public support for and objections to the proposed superintendent's contract for Dr. David Hoffert, which will be effective from July 1st, 2025 to June 30, 2028.
Initially Proposed Contract Details
Annual Base Salary: $ 194,000; Annual Teacher Retirement Fund Contribution: $17,460; Annual 403(b) or 401(a) Plan Contribution: $7,760; Annual Group Health Insurance Premium Contribution*: $19,858.38; Annual Long Term Disability Premium Contribution*: $78; Annual Term Life Premium Insurance Contribution ($200,000 Death Benefit)* $173.94.
* Indicates that Warsaw Schools' contribution may be adjusted if the insurance carrier increases the premiums for same level of coverage.
Agreement Length: The proposed contract is for a term of three (3) years. The proposed contract can be canceled by the school board for reasons set out in Indiana statute. By mutual agreement, the superintendent and Warsaw Schools can cancel the proposed contract at any time.
Work Days: The superintendent receives 30 vacation days and other benefit days per the Administrative Handbook.
Annual Performance Raise: The superintendent will receive an annual salary increase determined by the Board of Trustees if he achieves the rating of "Effective" or "Highly Effective."
Increases: The school board shall annually review the superintendent's performance.
