After decades of providing professional dental care at 2504 E. Center St., Warsaw, Dr. William Myers retired Sept. 1.
Even though the name of the dental office has now changed to Three Lakes Dental Wellness, the same high level of care continues at the same location with Dr. Dennis Pitsilides.
Monday, the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the rebranding and grand re-opening of Three Lakes Dental Wellness.
“The dentistry has been here for 30-plus years under Dr. William Myers. He was here for 35 years. Before that was Dr. Ferguson,” Pitsilides said. “It’s been taken over and then we, basically, just did a new rebranding here. We put the new sign up maybe two weeks ago.”
Pitsilides isn’t new to the community. He has been at the office under the mentorship of Myers since August 2023. With Myers’ retirement Sept. 1, the office has transitioned to just Pitsilides.
Along with him as the sole doctor, the office has three part-time hygienists, two dental assistants and a couple front-desk women.
Pitsilides continues to see their regular patients, but also is taking new patients.
“We’re always open for new patients, and taking over all existing patients. I’ve already been here for a year, so I’ve been introducing myself to patients for the last year,” he said.
Three Lakes Dental Wellness is a general dentistry practice, covering a variety of procedures. They do implants, cosmetic work and SureSmile aligners. They also see patients of all ages, from kids to the elderly.
Pitsilides said, “We’re very focused on oral health and total health combined. So, we’re trying to bridge that gap between just seeing your dentist and then having a separate doctor. There’s definitely a correlation, right? So, we’re very much on - when it comes to those combinations, really the goal is reducing inflammation, treating various common things that are oftentimes not treated, which is periodontal and gingivitis diseases, that will reduce inflammation of the mouth and reduce ultimately inflammation throughout the body. So it’s really just that sort of bridging that gap between dental and medical.”
Hours are generally 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the office open Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pitsildes grew up in northwest Indiana near Chicago. After graduating high school, he went to Purdue University Northwest for his undergraduate degree. He earned his master’s degree at IUPUI. He then went to University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles for four years of dental school, graduating in 2023, before finally moving to this area to start his career.
One of the things that drew him back to Indiana was the opportunity to be under the mentorship of Myers for the last year.
