Christine Hough, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Paddock Springs Senior Living in Warsaw, at the age of 86.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1938, in Salyersville, Ky., to Stella Allen Patrick and Everett Patrick. Christine was a 1956 graduate of Sidney High School in Sidney. She attended nursing college in Gary and graduated in 1958.
Christine was married on Oct. 28, 1961, to William “Bill” E. Hough Sr. They shared 38 years of marriage together before Bill passed away on March 5, 2000. They lived in Prospect, Ohio, for three years prior to moving to Sidney, and later they moved to the Warsaw area.
She spent her life caring for her family and was a wonderful homemaker and mother. Full of compassion and always ready to lend a hand, Christine was always called upon to be the family nurse when needed. She was also a great cook and especially a fantastic baker. Over the years she made many beautiful cakes for her family as the designated cake decorator. All of the little things she did out of love will forever be loved and cherished by her family. Christine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She lived a full life and will forever be missed by those that loved her. Most importantly, Christine had a life-long devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
She leaves behind her three sons, Bill Hough Jr., Warsaw; Bryan (Nanette) Hough, Fishers; Brad (Sandy) Hough, Claypool; five grandchildren: Brandi (Daemon) Aldrich, Eric and Dru Hough, Josh and Kalie Dirck; and four great-grandchildren: Gavin, Hayden, Hudsen and Brielle. Also surviving is her brother Bill (Nancy) Patrick, Sidney; and sister, Avadene “Dude” (Phil) Bradley, Sidney. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Hough, in 2000; granddaughter, Erin Hough, in 2007; sister, Magalene "Maggie" Stephens; and her brother, Menifee “Dick” Patrick.
Christine’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Dave Cripe. Friends and family are invited to meet at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, to go in procession to the cemetery. We will be leaving the parking lot at 10:45 a.m.
