October 4, 2024 at 5:06 p.m.
On Sept. 30, club members from the Echoes of the Past visited the preschool classes of Lakeland Christian Academy to treat them to Farmer Day.
Students learned all about the history of the vintage tractors and grain truck that were brought to the school, according to a news release from Echoes of the Past.
Jim Ellison instructed the kids on his 1938 Case RC, which has been in his family for over 40 years.
Morris Folk brought his 1956 Farmall 200 for the students to “drive.” His red tractor was a kid favorite with its double seat.
Duane Harman added a special friend to the mix when he brought his farm dog Jackson along with his 1978 International grain truck.
Each student had the opportunity to sit on each tractor and inside the grain truck and do their best imitation of being a farmer. The club always appreciates the invitation to participate in this event with the school, stated release.
