Trick-or-treat hours and Halloween events have be set in several towns in the area.
The listing will be reprinted and updated every Saturday through Oct. 26 as more information is received.
Akron
Costume judging for the Henry Township Fire Department’s costume contest is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at the fire station.
Akron’s trick-or-treat times are 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
Hartzler’s Halloween Bash is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in Hartzler Funeral Home’s parking lot, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. There will be a trunk-or-treat, food, games and more. It’s free, and everyone is welcome.
Bourbon
Trick-or-treating will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
Claypool
Claypool trunk-or-treat is Oct. 31 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Main Street.
Trick-or-treat hours are 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
Etna Green
Trick-or-treat times will be 5-7 p.m. Oct. 26. Immediately after trick-or-treat, the Lions Club of Etna Green will host its annual hayride event at Heritage Park.
Leesburg
Trick-or-treat hours are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
Mentone
Trick-or-treating hours will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 with costume judging starting at 7 p.m. at Mentone Elementary School.
Milford
Trick-or-treat hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.
The Milford Masonic Lodge 418 F&AM trunk-or-treat will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.
North Manchester
Trick-or-treat times are from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
North Webster
Trick-or-treat hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.
A Halloween costume parade will be in North Webster at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, starting at the town park and going down Huntington Street to Ind. 13, to Washington Street, then Dixie Drive back to the park. A coffee truck will have cider and doughnuts at the park for sale. The Witches’ Paddle will follow the event whereby people dress in costumes and paddle on the lake.
Pierceton
Trick-or-treat hours will be 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.
There will be trunk-or-treat at OMCO, Pierceton, from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 28.
There will be trunk-or-treat at Harvest Community Church, Pierceton, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.
Silver Lake
Trick-or-treat hours will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
Silver Lake Lion’s Club treat bags will be available from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at Memory Park.
A community trunk-or-treat is 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at Our Hometown Station, 201 S. Jefferson St.
The Silver Lake Fire Department will be giving out chili and cookies starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the fire station. There will also be a costume contest at 6:30 p.m., with three age groups judged: ages 0-12; 13-19; and 20 and older. There will be prizes for first and second place and the youngest and oldest in costume.
Syracuse
Trick-or-treat hours are Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Trick-or-treat in the Park is Oct. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lakeside Park.
Trick-or-treating at The Waters is Oct. 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Waters.
A Haunted Woods is Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 at Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation
Trunk-or-treat is Oct. 31 from 5 to 8 at RE/MAX Partners, 300 S. Huntington St.
Warsaw
Trick-or-treat hours are Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Trunk-or-treat is Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at First Christian Church of Warsaw.
Downtown Spooktacular is Oct. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. downtown Warsaw.
Living Hope Ministries church will have a fall festival and trunk-or-treat from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at 595 E. 350N, Warsaw. There will be candy, face painting, games, crafts, food, a cake walk and a bouncy house. People are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes.
Winona Lake
Trick-or-treat hours Oct. 31 is 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Trick-or-Treat on the Trail is Oct. 28 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Winona Lake Limitless Park.
A pumpkin decorating contest is Oct. 28 at noon at Winona Lake Limitless Park.

Warsaw Battles For Senior Night Win Over Mishawaka
