Wagon Wheel Warns Public Of Ticket Scammers

October 3, 2024 at 3:32 p.m.

The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is warning the public of a growing concern and risk of ticket scammers posing as representatives of the theater.
They have received notification from more and more people being scammed out money, sometimes as much as three times the cost of tickets to Wagon Wheel shows.
According to a public service announcement provided by the Wagon Wheel to its patrons, “to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please purchase tickets only through Wagon Wheel's official website, www.wagonwheelcenter.org, or by calling the box office at 574-267-8041.”
Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts strongly advises against buying tickets from third-party vendors like StubHub, Vivid Seats or other resellers. Tickets from these sources are often overpriced and may not be valid for entry.
Unauthorized sellers frequently create fake websites that mimic the Wagon Wheel’s official site. Tickets purchased from these sources can be for non-existent seats or even be counterfeit.
For guaranteed, authentic tickets, always buy directly from Wagon Wheel's website or box office. This ensures a worry-free experience, the PSA states.
If you've purchased through a third party, your tickets may be invalid. Contact your bank for help and consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
“Thank you for supporting Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts by purchasing through official channels!" the release states.
