Thanksgiving

Editor, Times-Union:
Noun - An act of giving thanks; an expression of gratitude, especially to God.
Today, I though of how blessed I am, how much I have to be grateful for.
I’ve never gone without ... foot, water or shelter. And I’ve had so many people who have helped me along with way at different times. None of us would have climbed a little higher on life’s ladder if not for someone else planting a seed of possibility, or being that encourager that we positioned ourselves on to keep moving forward. Maybe a good teacher who taught Shakespeare (and you didn’t even know you like Shakespeare! Until you had an “Aha” moment). Maybe a shop teacher, or a co-worker, a neighbor or a coach.
We most likely all have had one of those folks in our life at one time. Let Your heart swell. Don’t be afraid to “‘ell Them!”
Be thankful. Be grateful. Be kind. Be generous.
“Showing gratitude is some of the simplest yet more powerful things humans can do for each other.” - Randy Pausch.
Happy Thanksgiving.
