SOUTH WHITLEY - Linsey Bullock, FNP-C, has joined Parkview Physicians Group (PPG) – Family Medicine and is now welcoming patients at her office, 4665 S.R. 5, South Whitley.
"Southern Whitley County residents have a knowledgeable and energetic new healthcare partner in Linsey Bullock," said Scott Gabriel, market president, Parkview Health Northwest. "As a family nurse practitioner, she provides thoughtful, comprehensive care – from diagnosis to treatment and management of chronic conditions – for all ages."
Bullock's two decades of nursing experience – first, as a registered nurse, and later, as an advanced registered nurse practitioner – have taken her from neonatal nursing at hospitals in Idaho and central Florida to primary care advanced practice nursing positions in outpatient and community-based centers in Idaho and Washington.
Bullock earned her master's degree in nursing (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner – Family) from the University of South Florida in Tampa after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. She began her nursing studies at Brigham Young University – Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho.
She is a member of the Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana (CAPRNI).
"I approach care as a conversation so patients can make informed decisions on what they feel they are able to do realistically to help themselves," Bullock said. "We work as a team, and I provide education and recommendations on how they can be the healthiest person they can be, but ultimately, the patient is the one who must do the work outside the office. That doesn't mean it has to be hard work, though."
As for obesity medicine and addiction medicine, she said, "I love to see the transformation in people. How their successes help them feel so accomplished they start to do things they otherwise wouldn't have been able to do before. It's inspiring to see them start a healthier life and know they aren't stuck in that part they felt they were just going to have to deal with."
Bullock is qualified to provide in-office services such as joint injections for shoulders, knees and wrists; trigger point injections for muscle pain; and contraceptive implants.
Outside of work, Bullock is settling into northeast Indiana after having spent much of her working life in the West. She and her new husband, a native Hoosier, have nine children ages 13 to 22 in their blended family, plus two miniature schnauzers. She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and motorcycle riding, and looks forward to getting back into another favorite hobby soon: raising chickens.
