AKRON – Ronald L. “Cotton” Bailey, 56, rural Claypool, died at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at Luther Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Ronnie was born Oct. 3, 1968, in Warsaw, to Luther and Annie Manns Bailey.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Ward Allen and Mike Risner officiating. The interment will take place in the Akron Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory for his grandson Jordan.

A data center won’t be coming to the Leesburg area anytime soon. By a 3-0 vote Tuesday, the Kosciusko County Commissioners upheld the Area Plan Commission’s 8-0 recommendation to deny rezoning over 500 acres from agricultural to industrial-3. The property is on the north side of CR 700N, west of CR 300W, in Prairie and Jefferson townships.
