Ben O. and Joyce A. Conley Goble just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
They were married on Dec. 4, 1954, at the Church of Nazarene in Knox.
Ben was born in Mondamin, Iowa, and Joyce was born in Knox. Ben was working in Knox when he met the woman of his dreams. They lived in several places in Indiana and finally settled in Warsaw. There they raised their three children. He retired from Ferro Corporation in Plymouth. Joyce retired from Da-Lite Screen in Warsaw. They live together in Lake Estates where they enjoy their family, friends, and their dog Murphy.
They have three children: Dan Goble (Nancy), Fort Wayne; Debbie Beers (Tom), Columbia City; and Dawn Miller (Harold), Vandalia, Ohio. They have eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A 70th anniversary party was held on Saturday at the Lake Estates Clubhouse. Party attendees included their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all their spouses. In the wedding tradition, they fed each other cake followed by a toast. It was a beautiful and memorable celebration.
