Chryl L. Smith, 75, of Albion, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at her residence.
Chryl was born on July 5, 1949, in Warsaw to Harold and Margaret Weed Jones. On April 27, 1968, she married Kimball “Kim” Smith, who survives, and they shared 56 loving years together.
She was a graduate of Mentone High School class of 1967.
Chryl was a home maker who loved being with her family and watching movies together. One of her favorite movies was “Gone with the Wind,” she also liked watching “Master Piece Theater,” nature shows and “Nova.” She enjoyed going to Pierceton and Shipshewana to the flea market and antique shops. Chryl liked reading magazines; Better Homes and Gardens were her favorite. She also enjoyed collecting clowns.
Chryl will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kim Smith; daughter, Robin (Matt) Almack; grandchild, Tyler (Aspen) Smith; great-grandchildren, Willow and Elowyn Smith, all of Albion; sister, Paula (Richard) Morrison, of Valparaiso; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her sister, Esther Ann Jones; brothers: Jack (Bev) Warren, Raymond Warren, Ray Warren; niece, Angel Grandstaff; nephews, Mark Warren and Troy Craig.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Chryl’s life will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 in the funeral chapel with Rev. Ken Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery.
