NORTH MANCHESTER - Michael LeRoy Bishop, 69, Akron, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Oct. 28, 2024, at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
He was born Oct. 15, 1955, in Wabash, to LeRoy Bishop and Phyllis Chaffee McMichael. His wife, Barbara Bishop, preceded him in death.
He served in the United States Army.
A private celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at South Pleasant Cemetery in North Manchester.
For those who wish to honor the memory of Michael Bishop, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 303 S. Jefferson St., Silver Lake.
The family of Michael Bishop has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
