Kosciusko County Sheriff Jim Smith announced the promotion of Travis Shively to the rank of lieutenant.
Shively is a 19year veteran of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and previously served as sergeant. Shively will remain training coordinator and oversee the department’s K9 unit. In addition to those duties, Shively will also oversee the department’s special operations groups which include the SWAT and DIVE teams, according to a news release from KCSO.
“Travis has an extensive back ground as an instructor for our department. He has excelled at coordinating all of our department’s training and also as a K9 handler. I’m excited to see both the SWAT and DIVE teams grow under his leadership,” Smith said.
