“Poort has conservative values and recognizes that the school system is much different today, than it was many years ago. He understands the important role that parents play in students lives, and how that relationship is then built within the school system through their teachers, administrators, school staff and resource officers,” stated the release.
The partnership between the family and school is critically important. Poort said, “I am proud to live in a community where there is a such a strong focus on building up our kids so they can excel.
“The Warsaw Community School system is top notch and if elected, it is my goal to represent my constituents of District 4 to further support all aspects of the school corporation to ensure that all students are afforded the absolute best resources and opportunities. It would be a privilege to represent District 4 and to serve the community which I absolutely love.”
