Whitko Approves Clark As High School Principal

LARWILL – Jodie Clark was approved as incoming principal at Whitko Junior Senior High School on Monday during the Whitko School Board regular meeting.
Clark was welcomed by lead administrator Kari Walmer, director of special services, during the meeting. Walmer noted Clark has more than 20 years experience as an educator and administrator. Other Whitko administrators and school board members greeted Clark following the meeting.
Clark replaces Amy Evans as WJSHS principal. Evans was hired as Whitko’s curriculum director in April, according to a news release from Whitko Community Schools.
Clark comes to Whitko from Prairie Heights Community School Corp. in LaGrange where she was the middle school assistant principal and middle school athletic director for two years. She also acted as the school safety specialist at Prairie Heights during her employment there, from August 2022 to June 2024.
She was principal of the Lakewood Park Christian Junior Senior High School in Auburn for five years; an elementary principal for Middlebury Community Schools, Middlebury, for three years; and a Woodburn Elementary School principal for East Allen County Schools, Woodburn, for eight years.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University; a master’s degree from Purdue University and a specialist degree from Indiana State University.
Originally from Illinois, Clark lives in Fort Wayne. She will officially begin work at Whitko July 1.
