Kenneth ‘Ken’ Wayne Overmyer

Kenneth "Ken" Wayne Overmyer, 92, of Middlebury, passed away at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Waterford Crossing Health Center, Goshen.
He was born on Dec. 9, 1931, in Fulton County, to Lloyd and Nora Woodcox Overmyer. In 1952, he married Madonna Wilson; she died July 26, 2003. On Sept. 4, 2004, at Clinton Frame Church, Goshen, he married Anna Mast; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are son, David (Karen) Overmyer, of Winona Lake; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Connie Overmyer, of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; daughter, Deborah Good; brothers: Samuel, DeVon, Larry, Don and William; sisters, Doris, Charlotte and Jane.
Ken was a United Methodist pastor for 42 years, serving in Akron Emmanuel/Deedsville, Milford, Donaldson/Grovertown, Grass Creek, Berne, Warsaw, Shipshewana/Scott, Elkhart, South Bend, Syracuse and Albion. He was a member of the Indiana United Methodist Conference.
Ken and Anna enjoyed many lunch dates together at their favorite location, Dutch Maid Bakery. They also enjoyed spending the winter months in Sarasota, Fla. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were near and dear to his heart and he prayed for them daily.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 at Clinton Frame Church, 63846 CR 35, Goshen. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Monday, May 20, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Jeff Starkey and Pastor Sebastiano Rosa. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at Bruce Lake Cemetery, 486 N. CR 1050W, Kewanna.
Memorials may be given to Water for Life or Samaritan's Purse Aid Organization.
