Martha Ellen Josephine Fry

Martha Ellen Josephine Fry, 90, passed away peacefully while her son Larry was holding her hand on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation in Warsaw. She had made Etna Green her home for the past 14 years.
Martha was born in Pawnee, Ill., on Nov. 17, 1933, to Lester and Eliza Stevens Crowder and is where she spent most of her adulthood.
Martha worked as a bookkeeping manager as well as helping to run the Pasta House in Springfield, Ill., for Joe Rupnik.
She was a devoted mother to her sons and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and cooking; learning most of her skills from her mother.
Martha is survived by her son, Larry (Donna) Fry, of Etna Green; granddaughters: Jessica (Jeramay) Girouard, Isabelle Lemon and Cierra Ousley; great-grandchildren: Riley Hurley, Camermon Girouard, Elana Girouard and Mathew Haroulakis; and sisters, Marylin (Bill) Dickey), of Pawnee, Ill.; and Rachel Mitchelen, of Wakarusa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son.
Per Martha’s wishes, all services will be private.
