AKRON – Judith A. Pontius, 73, of Laketon, went home to be with the Lord at 10:36 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
Judith entered this world on March 2, 1951, in Savannah, Ga., to Frank and Ethel Cody Maple. She married Russell M. Pontius in Warsaw, on Oct. 10, 1987. Russell remains to honor her memory.

Above all, Judith was the cornerstone of her family, showering her grandchildren with love and leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; children: Frank and wife Dianne Reiter, of Warsaw; Shane and wife Michelle Reiter, of Pierceton; and Shane Pontius and fiancée Tara Skelton, of Milford; Shirley Pontius, of Roann; Cindy Weaver Norris, of Hartford City; Paul Pontius, of Montana; and David and wife Delrea Pontius, of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, James and wife Gwenn Reeves, of Hobart.
