Syracuse Man Critically Injured In Friday Evening Crash

A Syracuse man was in critical but stable condition after a Friday evening crash in the area of North Ind. 13 and Executive Drive.
According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies and emergency personnel responded Friday at 6:09 p.m. to a motorcycle-versus-truck crash on North Ind. 13 at the intersection of Executive Drive in Kosciusko County. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and found a motorcycle and a pick-up truck involved in the crash.
Preliminary investigation determined a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle was southbound on Ind. 13, approaching Executive Drive. A 2023 Dodge Ram was on Executive Drive and proceeded to turn north on Ind. 13, failing to yield to the southbound motorcycle, the release states.
Denny Koselke, 54, Syracuse, was the driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was thrown from his motorcycle after the collision. Koselke was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment of his injuries and listed in stable but critical condition.
Jack Wright, 65, Leesburg, was the driver of the Dodge Ram truck and was treated at the scene by Syracuse EMS.
Assisting at the scene were the Syracuse Police Department, Syracuse Fire and EMS, North Webster EMS, Department of Natural Resources, Lutheran Air and Reichert & Knepp Wrecker Service.
The accident remains under investigation by the KSCO FACT.
