For many years, the local Shrine Club has put on various events as fundraisers for their network of Shrine Hospitals across the United States.
Recently, several hundred local shooters participated in the 25th annual Shrine Turkey Shoot where the focus was fun, food and fellowship. The proceeds from the event were part of the Shrine Club’s annual donation of over $10,000 and was earmarked as a donation for the Shrine Orthopedic Hospital in Chicago specializing in children, according to a news release from Kosciusko County Shrine Club.
Donations poured in from many local area businesses and individuals. Those that contributed and deserve a thank you include Akron Concrete, Alderfer Bergen and Company, American Table Restaurant, Applebee’s, Arby’s on North Detroit Street, Auto Zone, Back Forty, Phillip Barkey, Bass & Bucks, Bowers Jewelry, Brandt Harley Davidson, Dixie Breading, Brouwer’s Furniture, Crossroads Bank, Culvers, Leigh Denlinger, Derry Electric, Downtown Eatery, Five Star, George’s Highlander, Grossnickle Eye Center, Hacienda, Harry’s Tap & Grill, Hartzel Farm / Etna Elevator, Henry Firearms, Instrumental Machine and Development, JB Furniture, Kings Keg, Leesburg Liquors, Mad Anthony’s, Maple Leaf Farms, Gene Meade, McHatton Sadler, Metzger Auction, Meijer’s, Midwest Spring, Monteith Tire, NAPAGoshen, Oak and Alley, Papa Vinos, Patona Bay, Pizza Hut Detroit Street, Rex’s Rendezvous, Rise and Roll, Ritter’s, Reinholt’s Furniture, Sadler Family, Salvatore’s, Service Liquors, Sheriff’s Office, Don Smith, John Snyder, Starbucks, Stoner Car Care, Tactical Walls, TL Jackson, Texas Roadhouse, The Bowling Alley, Truex Embroidery, Two Bear Arms, Fred Vining, Walmart, WR Hall, Wings Etc. and You The Fan.
