Driver Injured After Vehicle Hits Tree

A Claypool man suffered injuries Monday morning after his vehicle hit a tree.
According to information provided by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, at 5:58 a.m. Monday, Casey Shepherd, 55, Claypool, was driving north in a Ford Edge on Ferguson Road in Warsaw when he swerved to miss a deer. The Ford Edge went off the road and hit a tree.
Shepherd was flown to Fort Wayne Lutheran with injuries to his leg. He also complained of pain to his neck and abdomen.
